A little history about the Tony Pagano Italian Dinner: When Tony was our Grand Knight (2010-’11), being the shaker and mover that he was, he called a special committee together in August 2010 to plan an Italian Dinner. His hopes and dreams were to make this dinner a special sit-down, candle-lit, homemade Italian food with wine and Italian dessert affair. It didn’t matter to Tony if we made this a huge fund raiser or not. He was more interested that it would be done with class and that the food was excellent. Tony fell sick before that first dinner and was in the hospital for 2 weeks with an inflamed pancreas. We pulled that dinner off with the absence of Tony, but he was very please that we had success at our councils first ever Italian Dinner. The following year was to be our 2nd Annual Italian Dinner when sadly and unfortunately Tony passed away from Pancreatic cancer just 3 weeks prior to when our 2nd dinner was to take place. Hence forth we dubbed our dinner “The Tony Pagano Annual Italian Dinner”, our way of honoring one of our finest. Every year the Pagano family gathers with friends and family at this dinner in memory of their dad and Mary’s husband. We are honored to have them as our guest, this year being no different.
